Technical Sales Engineer (Female Preferred / Ref - 0501)

As the Sales Engineer with VTOL DYNAMICS, you will be reporting to the Commercial Manager who will guide you through the day to day tasks. You will be able to also provide input on how day-to-day activates and targets are to be achieved.

You’ll combine technical knowledge with sales skills. It is not necessary that you are rehearsed with drones, however, an understanding or interest in them would be highly considered. Training on products and services will be provided.

Target clients will usually be technical staff from engineering organisations, such as Oil & Gas, Solar, Utilities and the engineering and construction sectors.

Duties and responsibilities may be but are not limited to:

Ensure your clients’ and your own company’s needs are met, you’ll liaise regularly with other sales personnel, and colleagues from other departments such as research and development, and senior company managers.

Your day-to-day tasks are likely to involve:

  • Searching for new clients who could benefit from our services in a designated region

  • Traveling to visit potential clients

  • Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers

  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements

  • Persuading clients into take up services which they will benefit from.

  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing on terms and conditions

  • Offering after-sales support services (Very Important)

  • Payment / Debt collection

  • Analysing costs and sales

  • Preparing reports for head office

  • Meeting regular sales targets

  • Recording and maintaining client contact data

  • Coordinating sales projects

  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events (When required)

  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs

  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education

  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts

  • Solving client problems

  • Helping in the design of custom-made products
